Working at Height
Working at height is a high risk occupation, and all employers are duty bound to protect their workforce from dangerous falls by complying with the Work at Height Regulations 2005, designed to prevent injuries and deaths.
Each project needs to be assessed for risk, and work needs to be planned, organised and completed by competent tradesmen so that risks can be avoided, prevented or reduced.
Brandon Hire offer Working at Height courses to make sure you understand the regulations and how to work safely, including:
- How to recognise a problem
- Provide safe systems of work
- Choose appropriate equipment
Our courses include Working at Height, MEWPs Training, Ladders and Steps, Harness Awareness and Lanyard Training and you can find out more at brandontraining.co.uk.
The experienced staff in our branches can also offer advice on the most appropriate safety equipment to use in line with the regulations, such as guardrails, working platforms and air bags.
Regular inspections are carried out on
temporary or fixed structures to ensure
safety. The Tower Tag displays up-to-date
information on the movement of each
tower scaffold and its maximum safe
working load. These can be purchased
in all Brandon Hire branches.
